WELCOME TO 5v5 futsal!
Welcome to BAASL 5v5 Indoor Futsal! We are excited to kick off another great indoor season with all of you. All first games of the season are FRIENDLY MATCHES and do not count toward the standings. Please review important futsal-specific information on this page, especially the rules regarding Kick-Ins and the Goalkeeper 8-Second Rule. For player safety and league compliance, all players must wear shin guards with long socks covering them at every game, and each team should bring a futsal ball to matches. *Games may be played at other gym locations: Emeryville (Golden Gate Recreation Center or Willie Keyes Recreation Center), North Oakland (Bushrod Recreation Center), Albany Middle School, Richmond (Booker T Anderson Gym), or other facilities in surrounding area.
FUTSAL SCHEDULE & GAME TIMES
7, 8, 9 & 10 PM
BAASL uses two separate schedules. LeagueApps schedules are available via your online player portal and send you a game reminder 2 days in advance of the match. The MySoccerLeague/MSL version of the schedule includes Standings, full season details, playoff details, and other important game notes particular to individual matches. Full season schedules are available by Week 2 of games.
Futsal game times are from 7pm to 10pm (ending by 11pm) with all games at James Kenney gym this season. Gym use is limited to game times only. All areas inside and outside of the gym must be vacated within 15 minutes of the last game of the evening.

RULE UPDATE Effective Fall 2025: 8-Second Rule for Goalkeepers
No public consumption of alcohol or playing while intoxicated. Strictly enforced by BAASL and City of Berkeley Parks and Recreation.
