FEE POLICIES
By signing up for BAASL, you acknowledge and consent to all BAASL fee policies below:
BAASL’s preferred payment method is Zelle. Use the BAASL telephone number (510) 900-9559 and name "Bay Area Adult Soccer League, LLC.” If you do not have Zelle, you can use Leagueapps for payment and agree to pay an added processing fee.
Teams: There are no refunds after your team has been added to the league schedule. Also, if teams decide to drop after being added to the league schedule they are not eligible for a refund.
Free Agents: The are no refunds if you decide to drop after you have been assigned to a team. If you are not placed on a team you are eligible for a refund or credit towards a future season per BAASL Free Agent policy. You must request a refund or carryover to another league via email to info@baasl.org. As previously agreed upon in the BAASL waiver of liability, you acknowledge that any fees paid are for the purposes of being assigned to a team. You also agree and consent that no refunds or credits will be issued as soon as you are added to a league, whether you voluntarily or involuntarily quit the team, even if you have not participated in any games.
The team registration fee ($100-$200) is non refundable. Due to active waitlists in most BAASL leagues, there are no exceptions to this policy. Team registration fees are folded in to the full team fee and will not appear separately on your invoice.
Forfeit Deposit: Each team is required to submit a forfeit deposit every season, aside from the team’s registration fees. Should a team need to forfeit a match, they are required to notify the league in writing by emailing info@baasl.org at least 24 hours before the scheduled match time. This allows time for the league to find an alternative opponent for the other team to play a friendly match. A forfeit where notification occurs within 24 hours of a match, a 2nd forfeit in the same season, or a forfeit of a playoff match results in loss of a forfeit deposit. If this rule is observed for the entire season, the team is eligible to carryover their forfeit deposit to a future season or request a refund after the season ends. To carry over your forfeit deposit, enter the designated discount code provided by a league administrator at the time of registration. Please note that the forfeit deposit is not automatically refunded to you if the team does not play the following season/s. It must be requested by email to info@baasl.org.
A holding deposit, when required by a specific league, holds your team’s spot in a league and is always credited towards the team fee. Your spot is not held until a league administrator has explicitly confirmed you to a league.
Payments not received within 7 days of the league start date may result in forfeiture of the team/player slot.
A late fee is assessed for all payments made after the beginning of the season.
Players and teams may forfeit their fees and spot in the league as a result of gross misconduct and/or violation of League rules.
Games cancelled due to severe weather, air quality, or any other circumstance outside the purview of BAASL are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling, though we will do our best to reschedule a match according to field permit limits. As noted in the previously signed BAASL waiver of liability, you agree and consent that BAASL and it releasees may cancel, without issuing a partial or full refund or credit, any and all games at any time due to acts of God, accidents, riots, war, terrorist acts, epidemics, pandemics, quarantine, civil commotion, breakdown of communication, natural catastrophes, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fires, explosions, bad or unsafe weather, fan/spectator behavior, or uninvited guests.
You agree to all Fee Policies in both the registration Waiver of Liability and Informed Consent to Fee Policies signed upon registration.
