FEE POLICIES

By registering to Bay Area Adult Soccer League (BAASL), you acknowledge and consent to the following fee policies:


Preferred Payment Method

BAASL’s preferred payment method is Zelle:

If Zelle is unavailable to you, you may pay via LeagueApps, which includes an additional processing fee.


Team Registration

  • The team registration fee ($100–$200) is nonrefundable and applies to all teams.

  • Once your team is added to the league schedule, no refunds will be issued - even if your team drops out after joining.

  • Due to high demand and active waitlists, no exceptions will be made to this policy.

  • Registration fees are applied toward the total team fee and may not appear as a separate line item on your invoice.

Free Agent Registration

  • If you are not placed on a team, you are eligible for a refund or credit toward a future season under the BAASL Free Agent Policy. Requests for refunds or credits must be submitted via email to info@baasl.org.

  • If you are placed on a team, no refunds or credits will be issued - even if you:

    • Quit voluntarily or involuntarily,

    • Do not attend games,

    • Have not yet played in a match.


Forfeit Deposit

  • All teams must pay a forfeit deposit ($100–$200), in addition to the registration fee.

  • Teams must notify the league via email (info@baasl.org) at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled match time of any anticipated forfeit.

  • Forfeiting under the following conditions will result in loss of the deposit:

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice

    • Second forfeit in a single season

    • Playoff game forfeit

  • If no forfeits occur and proper notice is given throughout the season:

    • You may carry over the deposit using a special discount code

    • Or, you may request a refund via email after the season ends

Note: The forfeit deposit is not automatically refunded. It must be requested.


Holding Deposit

  • Some leagues. may require a holding deposit to secure your team’s spot.

  • This deposit is credited toward your total team fee.

  • Your team’s spot is not confirmed until explicitly approved by a League Administrator.

Late Payments

Payment must be received within 7 days of the league start date for 5v5, 8v8 leagues and 14 days of the league start date for 11v11 leagues.

  • Late payments may result in the loss of your team or player slot.

  • A late fee will apply for any payments made after the season begins.

Misconduct or Rule Violations

Players or teams that engage in gross misconduct or violate league rules may forfeit their spot and all fees without refund.

Cancellations & Weather Policy

Games cancelled as a result of conditions beyond our control, including severe weather or unsafe air quality, field closures, etc. are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling. However, we will do our best to reschedule a match according to field permit limits. As previously noted in the signed BAASL waiver of liability, you agree and consent that BAASL and its releasees may cancel, without issuing a partial or full refund or credit, any and all games at any time due to acts of God, accidents, riots, war, terrorist acts, epidemics, pandemics, quarantine, civil commotion, breakdown of communication, natural catastrophes, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fires, explosions, bad or unsafe weather, fan/spectator behavior, or uninvited guests.

Agreement to Terms

By registering, you agree to all fee policies outlined here, in your registration waiver of liability, and in the informed consent to fee policies.
