WELCOME TO BAASL 8v8 SATURDAY LEAGUE!

Dear Saturday Players,

Welcome to the Winter season! We’re excited to kick things off and can’t wait to see everyone back on the field. Thank you all for rolling with the punches as we’ve worked around field availability. Your flexibility and great attitude keep the Saturday community strong.

Please be sure to read the General Welcome Page in addition to the league-specific information below so you’re up to speed on all league policies and expectations.

Highlights for Winter Season:  

·       We will have a shortened 6-week season as the field calendar was only available to reserve through the end of December. When reservations re-open, we’ll explore adding an additional winter league in January.

·       Game times will be at 1pm and 2:30pm.

·       There will be no games on November 29.

Schedule for November 8th,  first games of the season:

All games count for points. 

1pm – Cougar North — Avery’s Angels v. Green(ish) Team

1pm – Cougar South — Viraka v. Furi Osos

2:30pm – Cougar North — Llamas Rojas v. East Bay Bandits

BYE:  Golden Bay FC

Volunteer Help Needed:

AMS is walking distance from El Cerrito Plaza BART station. Go to the front of the school on the south side and enter the parking lot. School parking lots and restrooms are open for BAASL player use.

  • RULE UPDATE Effective Fall 2025: 8-Second Rule for Goalkeepers

  • Coed/Designated Player Requirement in effect. Slidetackles NOT allowed.

  • No public consumption of alcohol or playing while intoxicated. Strictly enforced by BAASL and Albany Unified School District.

  • Ball Recovery Rule in effect.
