Welcome to the BAASL Sunday 11v11 Men’s Soccer!


Matches will take place at the following locations and times:

  • Tom Bates (Gilman) – 6 PM, 7 PM, 8 PM & 5 PM,occasionally

  • Orinda Wilder – 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM

The full season schedule will be published by Week 2.

Important Rule Reminders

  • Goalkeeper 8-Second Rule continues to be in effect.

  • Yellow Card Sin Bin:
    A 10-minute sin bin with no substitutions allowed will continue to apply for the specific infractions listed in the league rules.

  • Jersey Requirements:

    • Each player must have a designated jersey number.

    • All jerseys/shirts must be the same color.

    • Pinnies are allowed if numbers are clearly taped on.

    • Rosters with jersey numbers must be provided to the referee crew at every game.

Forfeit Policy

If your team anticipates a forfeit, please notify the league at least 48 hours in advance to allow time to locate a replacement team. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

BAASL currenlty uses two separate schedules.  LeagueApps schedules are available via your online player portal and send you a game reminder 2 days in advance of the match.  The  MySoccerLeague/MSL schedule  includes Standings, full season details, playoff details, and other important game notes particular to individual matches.  Full season schedules are available by Week 2 of games. If there is ever a discrepancy in the schedules, the MSL version supersedes the Leagueapps schedule.

Soccer Goals

Please avoid rolling the goals onto any part of the concrete surrounding the fields.

Remember to pick up all trash and belongings prior to leaving the field.

TOM BATES FIELD advisements from City of Berkeley Parks & Recreation

ATTENTION: Tom Bates Gilman field construction has begun. The main parking lot will be CLOSED until at least April 2027. Please the lot located to the South of the complex, adjacent to W. Frontage Rd. Arrive early for parking.

Soccer Goals

All goals on the fields must remain in their designated locations at all times. They are numbered according to location. Removing, moving, or repositioning the goals is strictly prohibited. This helps maintain field safety, prevent damage to equipment, and ensure proper field setup for scheduled games and practices.

Help Keep Fields in Top Condition

Avoid Creating Divots

  • Be mindful when using cleats - avoid twisting or digging into the turf, which can create divots and damage the field.

  • If you notice any divots, please help by gently pressing them back into place.

Respect the Field

  • Use designated entry and exit points.

  • Avoid practicing or warming up in high-traffic areas to prevent excessive wear.

Clean Up After Yourself

  • Dispose of trash and equipment properly.

  • Leave the field as you found them.

Field use is limited to designated game times. Please avoid stepping onto any part of the turf field prior to the first scheduled game to avoid encroaching on other permitted groups’ field time. Lights go out at 11pm. We must vacate all areas inside and outside of the field, including the parking lot, within 15 mins.

Failure to abide by the above field rules may result in our field permit being revoked. Please note that a City of Berkeley Field Monitor is typically present at the fields.
