WHAT IS A FREE AGENT?
A free agent is an individual player looking to join a new team.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We have over 120 teams of all competition levels and make every effort to identify a team for every free agent that registers. If you are not placed on a team, you will receive a full refund of fees paid.
THE ASSIGNMENT PROCESS
Most free agents are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Assignments to a team are based on requests from team captains. Sometimes, team captains will request players who play specific positions, such as defender, mid-fielder, goalkeeper, etc. It is a good idea to indicate the specific positions you are willing to play when completing your registration profile.
Free agent assignments can occur at any time before or during a league. Team captains do not usually request free agents more than a week before the league begins. Therefore, if you have not already heard from us, you can inquire about your status no sooner than one week before the league start date. To inquire about your status as a free agent, please send an email to email@example.com
I HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO A TEAM. NOW WHAT?
If you are assigned to a team, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirming your move to the specific team’s roster. Once you have been placed on a team’s roster, you may log in to your Leagueapps Dashboard and access the team schedule and links to communicate with your team. You may also access the entire season schedule for your league by going to www.baasl.org, clicking on “Schedule & Standings,” and finding your specific league & division on the menu. By signing up as a free agent, you agree to abide by all the laws and conditions of playing in the League and certify that all of your registration information is true and correct. Your information is for internal league purposes - we do not sell your information to 3rd parties.
HOW CAN I INCREASE MY CHANCES OF GETTING ON A TEAM?
Free agents should pay the player fee online in order to be considered for first priority. Free Agents are not required to make payment in order to be considered for placement, however, paid free agents are assigned first before unpaid free agents. If you are not placed on a team, you will receive a full refund of fees paid.
